Ohio Plywood Box Company, founded by Jerry Graves in the 1980s, has been a dominant force in the wood box making market in Cincinnati and its surrounding areas for the past 45 years. Originally starting as a manufacturer of wood crates, boxes, and paper knife boards for shipping industrial knives, the company expanded its product line and customer base after Ohio Knife Company went into receivership in 1986. With a focus on family and quality, Ohio Plywood Box continues to thrive under the leadership of Laverne Graves and the dedicated team of Doug Blake, Tom Holmes, and Roger Boehm.

In December 2020, the company underwent a change in ownership and was renamed American Plywood Box Co., LLC. Barry Stroube, attracted by the family business feel and impressed by the quality of the products, purchased the company.
