In 2001, A. Garber Upholstery acquired J. Blank & Company, which had over thirty years of experience in the upholstery market in Cleveland. The merged companies created one of the largest and fastest expanding upholstery shops in the Cleveland area. After the purchase of J. Blank & Company, A. Garber Upholstery moved into a studio in Cleveland Heights. The market for upholstery goods has seen a steady growth and A. There he was taught a variety of methods that have been used for hundreds of years in the furniture business by a master Italian upholsterer. As a result, his knowledge extends to his ability to work with various antique, traditional, modern, and contemporary furniture designs. In 1991, Alex moved to the United States in hopes of carrying on the tradition taught to him in Moldova by starting his own upholstery studio.
