Fairhaven, formally known as the Trumbull County Board of Developmental Disabilities, is one of the 88 county organizations across Ohio, providing services and support to individuals who are physically and mentally impaired. The organization offers varied ancillary services such as speech, occupational and physical therapies, residential support, transportation and health services. It serves approximately 1,100 people. The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, an independent, non-profit organization that reviews facilities and grants accreditation services nationally and internationally, accredits Trumbull County Board of Developmental Disabilities.
