Mount Aloysius

Founded in 1987, Mount Aloysius is an intermediate care facility that provides services and support to adult males with mental and other developmental disabilities. Founded in 1954, it is operated by a volunteer board of directors and is licensed and certified by the Ohio Department of Health. It employs more than 140 staff members and serves over 80 residents. The facility has several departments, including administrative, dietary, environmental, medical and program services. Its main building houses a dining room, kitchen, training area, auditorium with a seating capacity of up to 150 people, apartments and administrative offices. The facility organizes several recreational activities for its residents, including pool games, exercises, Special Olympic practice sessions, sports events and dances. Mount Aloysius is located in New Lexington, Ohio.
