History Fairway Wealth Management, an independent wealth management firm, was established in 2002 by Dan Gaugler and Mark Weiskind. Mr. Gaugler and Mr. Weiskind, both of whom hold CPA/PFS ( "Certified Public Accountant"/"Personal Financial Specialist" ) and CFP ( "Certified Financial Planner" ) licenses, previously held senior level positions in Deloitte & Touche's Private Client Advisors unit in Northeast Ohio. They have structured Fairway Wealth Management as a fee-only, open-architecture firm, one that is not associated with any accounting firm, bank, brokerage firm, or insurance company. With this structure, Fairway is in an ideal position to serve clients with substantial wealth and to develop wealth management strategies that are focused solely on the best interests of their clients ; and then to provide access to the most appropriate investment managers and products in the marketplace.
