Founded in 1997, Provider Synergies, LLC, an affiliate of Magellan Medicaid Administration, is involved in the management of Preferred Drug Lists (PDLs) and the negotiation of Supplemental Rebates for state Medicaid agencies. The firm specializes in pharmacy and therapeutics committee management, pharmaceutical contracting, pharmaceutical contract administration and coordination of disease management programs. In 2009, Provider Synergies, LLC became a wholly owned subsidiary of Magellan Health Services. It and Magellan Medicaid Administration manage the Preferred Drug Lists for nearly 19 million people and approximately $15.5 billion people in drug expenditures.
