Incorporated in 1901, the Lorain Public Library System (LPLS) serves the metropolitan community in Ohio. It operates libraries in Lorain, South Lorain, Avon, Columbia Station, North Ridgeville and Sheffield Lake. The system s libraries provide membership services and library cards. Its libraries offer board, picture, reference, and fiction and nonfiction books for children. The system s libraries also provide CDs, DVDs, videos and audio cassettes. The Lorain Public Library System s libraries offer Project LITE, which is an adult literacy program. Its libraries provide books by mail and outreach services. If you can over driving through the inner city in order to get to this gem it will not let you down. The main Library of the Lorain Public Library System has a lot to offer just about anyone....
