We offer guided house tours every Tuesday from 10am-3pm. Walk-ins welcome. We also offer interactive themed history tours of 1920s Lorain history. These special programs are offered each month at certain times. We recommend calling or emailing ahead to reserve a space because they are very popular and sometimes sell out. Check our website for what themed tour we are currently offering and for the times. The Moore House is the former home of Mayor Leonard Moore and his family, and it is an historic house museum. The Lorain Historical Society manages the Moore House Museum. The Lorain Historical Society engages members of the community and our visitors in our shared and diverse history through preservation, education, collaborations, and exciting programming for all ages, so that we learn from the past, develop civic pride, and transform the future.
