Arc Rubber Inc

About Arc Rubber Arc Rubber was initially founded in 1965. In 1977, Robert Johnson, Sr. was hired as Plant Manager due to his extensive background in the rubber industry. By January of 1984 Bob Sr. arranged to purchase the company. One of his first decisions as owner was to move the operating facilities to it current location in Geneva, Ohio. In doing so, he was able to streamline operations and cut overhead to ensure that his customers received the best product at the best price. During his administration, Bob Sr. made sure that Arc Rubber's profile and reputation became an outstanding success through his hard work and dedication. After spending 60 years in the rubber industry, he retired as President in August 2004, but continued as a guiding presence and maintained a vital interest in the company until his death in 2006. Robert Johnson, Jr., the current President, originally came to work Arc Rubber, Inc in April of 1992 as Vice President and Plant Manager. He has continued to uphold his father's standard for quality customer service and production, as well as maintaining a comfortable and friendly working environment. Under Bob Jr.'s leadership he established a new production line, Liquid Cure Method ( LCM ) and directed the plant to becoming ISO-9001: 2000 certified. He is responsible for much of the company's ability to implement customized techniques and technology. Robert Johnson, III, joined Arc Rubber, Inc in the fall of 1998 learning the daily operations of the plant. In May 2004 he was appointed as Vice President after completing a degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Toledo. Rob brings valuable experiences in product design and production methods that increase quality and efficiency. He shares an enthusiasm for the industry with his father and grandfather which has led him to expand the facility to better serve Arc Rubber's customers and diligently works to keep the company up-to-date with current technology.
