Lake Metroparks Greenway Corridor offers a scenic 48-mile paved trail that connects the municipalities of Painesville, Painesville Township, and Concord Township, providing visitors with opportunities for exercise amidst the beauty of nature. The trail features varied elevations and includes access to the picturesque Chair Factory Falls, enhanced by a newly installed 0.3-mile trail for safe public viewing.
Originally part of the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad, the Greenway Corridor now serves as a recreational space where the sounds of bicycles and walkers replace the historical train whistles. Funded through a federal grant, the corridor is designed to be an ADA-accessible facility, ensuring enjoyment for current and future generations.
