The Road Maintenance Department is a part of the Lake County Engineer s Office of Lake County in Ohio. The department maintains and repairs county s highways. It also removes snow and ice from highways. The Lake County Engineer s Office manages roads, bridges and intersections of the county. The engineer s office also operates the bridge design department that designs construction drawings for new bridges, as well as repairs existing bridges, drainage structures and retaining walls. The Lake County Engineer s Office s construction department supervises the building and reconstruction of bridges. The office s fleet maintenance department maintains trucks, cars, rollers, graders and snow plows of the county. It additionally administers fiscal, traffic, highway design, human resources and tax map departments.
