OhioHealth Physician Group nonsurgical orthopedic experts provide comprehensive healthcare to active individuals and athletes at all levels and for all sports — at any age, including the Columbus Blue Jackets. We treat and diagnose a variety of musculoskeletal conditions and sports related injuries that affect the joints, muscles and bones causing pain, swelling, stiffness and deformity. We also offer concussion evaluation using a scientifically validated computerized system, ImPACT. Our physicians’ goal is to help you bounce back after an injury.

Dr. Riley has been in practice since 2014. He joined Akron Children’s as a pediatric orthopedic surgeon. After receiving his medical degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University, he went on to complete a residency at Summa Health Systems and a fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital/Harvard. Dr. Riley has a special interest in sports injuries of the hip, knee, ankle, elbow and shoulder, as well as dance medicine, throwers shoulder and elbow and pediatric skeletal trauma. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons with a specialty board certification in orthopedic sports medicine. He’s also a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and charter member of Pediatric Research in Sports Medicine.

Dr. Nevado is clinical psychologist at Akron Children’s. She’s been practicing since 2016 and with Akron Children’s since 2021. She earned her master’s degree and doctorate in clinical psychology from PGSP-Stanford PsyD. Consortium in Palo Alto, Calif. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Beckwitt-Hughey Adolescent DBT Postdoctoral Fellowship McLean Hospital, Harvard Medical School in Boston, Mass. Dr. Nevado is fluent in English and Spanish.
