IKRON, also known as Integration of Knowledge and Resources for Occupational Needs, provides employment and counseling services to Cincinnati and the surrounding area. Founded in 1969 as the University of Cincinnati Rehabilitation Center, it is one of the oldest community mental health organizations in southwest Ohio that is certified by the Ohio Department of Mental Health. IKRON offers comprehensive rehabilitation programs that are aimed at obtaining competitive employment and maintaining sobriety. It is also certified by the Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services and provides psychosocial and vocational services to individuals with mental health problems. Located in Cincinnati, IKRON offers computer literacy and clerical training, adult education, stress management, food service operating, clerical training and woodshop activities.
