Ideal Hot Dog, established in 1980 by Nick Verikakis and George Mouratidis, was born out of a desire to bring back the beloved taste of Chili Mac to Toledo, Ohio. Through months of experimentation and input from friends and family, they perfected the recipe that has become a local favorite.
Today, Ideal Hot Dog operates two locations, each run by the families of the founders, continuing the tradition of serving up delicious hot dogs and nostalgic flavors that resonate with the community.

Staff was amazing, super friendly. I got the coney dogs and I've had better in Toledo. But they were still good, just not great.

Love hot dogs. These are pretty good. Basic food done well. Severs expect you to know what you want. I get it. A smile goes a long way. Chili Mac is out of this world and very old school.
