Hospice of Northwest Ohio

Hospice of Northwest Ohio, located in Perrysburg, Ohio, is a nonprofit community-based organization that is one of the area agencies offering services and caring for terminally ill patients. The patients include individuals suffering from illnesses of the heart, lung and kidney; vascular and neuromuscular diseases; Alzheimer s disease and other types of dementias; AIDS; and birth defects. The services are provided by a specialized team of physicians, nurses, pharmacists, therapists, social workers, aides, clergy and volunteers. Hospice of Northwest Ohio additionally provides bereavement support for family members of all ages. The costs of the hospice care are covered by Medicare, Medicaid and most other insurance plans.
