The Harriet Beecher Stowe House is an Ohio History Connection historic site, featuring the House's history at 2 different time periods: - 1840 when abolitionist author Harriet Beecher Stowe lived in Cincinnati for nearly 20 years as a young teacher, writer, mother, researching what would become the novel Uncle Tom's Cabin, and - 1940 when it was the Edgemont Inn, an African-American boarding house and tavern listed in the Green Book and managed by Irene Bacon. This house bears witness to generations joining their voices for truth in the nation's struggle toward freedom and humanity for all. Visit the Harriet Beecher Stowe House to be inspired to use your voice for truth today.
