Terra Testing, Inc ( TTI ), located in Washington, Pennsylvania is a privately owned corporation, specializing in geotechnical and environmental drilling since 1972. A corporation since 1981, TTI has successfully completed thousands of projects for the private sector, governmental and industrial owners. The majority of our work is in Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia and Virginia, although we have traveled much further when requested by our clients. TTI employs five full-time drilling crews, most with over 15 years experience and each capable of handling your most difficult project. Terra Testing possesses a vast array of company and driller licenses and certifications, making us qualified above all others to handle your drilling projects safely, proficiently, and in accordance with local and state requirements. The owner, G. Michael Tiani, started Terra in 1972 as a division of a geotechnical engineering firm until he acquired all assets in 1981. Mr. Tiani has served as section and national president of the American Society of Highway Engineers, President of the National Drilling Federation, and has been involved with the management of the National Drilling Association ( NDA ) since it's inception in the early 70's, twice serving as president and continues to serve on the Board of Directors. Mr. Larry Deutsch serves as Manager of Operations / Health & Safety, with over 35 years experience managing contractors, projects and personnel in the civil, geotechnical, environmental and steel industry disciplines, including drilling, design and construction management. Mr. Deutsch has served two consecutive terms as the President of the Tri-State Drilling Contractors Association, and now serves as the Vice-President. Mr. Jay Hammerschmitt serves as the Field Superintendant for Terra Testing and has over 35 years experience in the drilling contracting arena. His vast knowledge and experience of drilling equipment, site conditions and requirements provides for a complete management team to help our clients get the information they need.
