GOODS, the Great Observatories Origins Deep Survey, is a collaborative effort involving NASA's Great Observatories, ESA's Herschel and XMM-Newton, and ground-based facilities to explore the distant universe across the electromagnetic spectrum. Their data tracks galaxy formation, universal expansion, and high redshift supernovae, covering a total of 320 square arcminutes in two fields.

With extensive public data products used by the astronomical community, GOODS provides deep observations with facilities like Spitzer, Hubble, Chandra, and Herschel, complemented by ground-based imaging and spectroscopy. Their final data release includes over 5000 spectra yielding almost 3000 redshifts, contributing valuable insights into the evolution of galaxies and cosmic history.
