Global Oncology
Global Oncology is a non-profit organization based in Cincinnati, OH, dedicated to improving cancer care, research, and education worldwide. They develop culturally-appropriate patient education materials and tools, such as image-based resources and engaging art pieces, to enhance the cancer treatment experience in resource-poor regions. Additionally, they offer programs like Directly Observed Care (GO-DOC), which pairs cancer patients with healthcare professionals to overcome barriers to accessing care, and maintain a web-based platform called The GO Map to catalog international cancer research, care, and outreach programs.
Through their initiatives, Global Oncology aims to create a global network of informed students, trainees, and young professionals called GO-Young Professional Alliance (GO-YP), who actively contribute to improving the equitable delivery of cancer care. With a mission to break boundaries, Global Oncology strives to make a significant impact in the fight against cancer on a global scale.
