Operating in more than 11 states from locations such as Glazer s of Ohio, Glazer's Wholesale Drug Company is one of the largest wholesale distributors of wine, spirits and malt beverage products in the United States. The third-generation family business was founded in Dallas in 1933. Glazer s market has grown to include distributor acquisitions in Missouri, Indiana, Kansas, Illinois and Iowa. In 1998, Glazer's and Sunbelt Distributing in Arizona created Alliance Beverage, a company poised to capitalize on opportunities in that state. The Glazer s Family of Companies participates in and supports the three-tier system. This system, federally mandated after the repeal of Prohibition in 1933, provides for the safe delivery of beverage alcohol from a supplier or manufacturer throughout the chain of distribution ending with the end consumers.
