Garfield Heights City Schools

The Board of Education functions as the governing body of the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. The Cleveland Metropolitan School District serves more than 50,360 students in over 110 schools. Its schools offer instruction in music, reading, writing, science, social studies and mathematics. The district s schools support the National Honor Society, as well as administer the English as a Second Language program. Its schools provide opportunities for students to participate in a range of sports activities, such as basketball, golf, cross-country, football, volleyball, cheerleading, and track and field. The district s schools also have parent-teacher organizations that work for student welfare.
