Founded in 1861, St. Elizabeth Medical Center is a Catholic health care system offering medical care and wellness services. It is sponsored by the Diocese of Covington; and it provides spiritual, psychological and physical care to the communities of the tri-state area in northern Kentucky. The facility houses emergency departments and labor delivery surgery and wound care centers. It offers various services, such as diagnostics and imaging, hospice, cancer and cardiac care, diabetes and holistic, health and home care. It operates a wide range of programs, including DOVE, which provides security and treatment to victims of domestic violence and guides them through court procedures if they want to file a case. St. Elizabeth Medical Center operates from various locations, including Covington, Edgewood and Williamstown, Ky.
