Emily Cassell, MD - Obstetrics & Gynecology Worthington

As an obstetrician, I love having the opportunity to care and advocate for women and be there for some of the most pivotal moments, both in their health and their life. I find continuing to check in with patients through these life changes to be one of the most rewarding aspects of obstetrics and gynecology. I provide a full breadth of obstetric and prenatal care, which allows me to tailor a patient's experience to meet their goals. I hope to empower my patients to achieve their health care goals by providing evidence-based medicine and an atmosphere that makes patients feel comfortabl have a special interest in gynecologic surgery for management of abnormal uterine bleeding, adnexal masses, vulvar disorders and abnormal cervical cytology. In addition, I help patients through management of pelvic pain and sexual dysfunction collaboratively with our pelvic floor PT tea t Ohio State Wexner Medical Center, I also work closely with residents and medical students as part of my role as an attending physician. I believe that academic medicine provides the most patient-centered care because the teaching aspect shows that as a team we are constantly learning and evolving to provide the most innovative care possible. The faculty, staff and students at Ohio State make our incredible hospital feel more like a family. I have so much pride in working at Ohio State and welcoming a new generation of "Baby Buckeyes."In my free time, I enjoy running outside, riding on my Peloton and sand volleyball. I'm also always looking for ways to explore the local parks, coffee shops and restaurants in Columbus.
