The Main Place is a consumer-operated mental health recovery center that promotes recovery through peer support, social activities, education and training. Its services include diagnostic assessment and impression, individual case management, housing support and employment assistance. The center also conducts various group activities and classes, as well as administers computer and Internet training programs. The Main Place additionally handles several cases related to mental disabilities, such as anxiety and eating disorders, schizophrenia, obsessive compulsive disorder and social phobia. It is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities and certified by the Ohio Department of Mental health. The center is funded by the Community Mental Health and Recovery Board. The Main Place maintains a location in Newark, Ohio.
