The institution s medical-surgical unit provides preoperative and postoperative care for patients undergoing surgical procedures at Greenfield Area Medical Center, such as ear, nose and throat, including tubes and septolplasty; gastroenterology, including colonoscopy and esophagogastroduodenoscopy. It also performs general surgery, including cholecystectomy, hysterectomy, appendectomy, tubal ligation, exploratory laparoscopy, breast biopsy and mastectomy, hemorrhoidectomy, cystocle and rectocele repair; orthopedics, including carpal tunnel, knee arthroscopy, rotator cuff repair, and hip fracture. Additionally, it offers podiatry, including bunionectomy, hammer toe repair and heel spur repair; and urology, including cystoscopy, circumcision, bladder suspension and vasectomy. Its inpatient rehabilitation programs provide physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology, therapeutic recreation, psychology, nursing and additional support services.
