Council on Aging of Southwestern Ohio

Council on Aging is a private, nonprofit agency that plans, coordinates and administers local, state and federally funded programs and services for older adults in Butler, Clermont, Clinton, Hamilton and Warren counties in Cincinnati. Its assisted living waiver program is an alternative for nursing facility and Medicaid programs. Its residential state supplement program is a state-funded program that provides financial assistance to eligible blind, aged and disabled adults. Its council on aging learning advantages program educates interested individuals about personal care and homemaking services to the older adult population. Council on Aging encourages health and wellness programs by promoting active lifestyles and disease prevention. Its services include personal and respite care, home delivered meals, independent living assistance and medical transportation. It publishes a caregiver and client training manual, written by registered nurses with more than 35 years of combined home care experience. Established in 1970, Council on Aging is located in Cincinnati.
