Colerain Township Police Department

The Colerain Police Department works to preserve peace and reduce crime through the enforcement of local, state, and federal laws and ordinances. It has an honor guard that marches in parades, conducts funerals for officers and their family members, and attends wakes and funerals for area officers killed in the line of duty. The department maintains a bike patrol unit that handles issues, such as community policing, drug interdiction and street crime activities. The Colerain Police Department hosts a citizens police academy that educates citizens regarding the structure and activities of the police department. It also supports neighborhood watch and disaster preparedness programs. In addition, the department conducts residential and business security surveys. The Colerain Police Department is recognized by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA).
