Cleveland Public Theatre (CPT) is the premier professional alternative theatre in Northeast Ohio, dedicated to engaging the community through innovative performances and educational programs. The theatre offers a diverse array of theatrical experiences that explore vital social issues, engaging both local artists and audiences alike.
In addition to its productions, CPT runs the Student Theatre Enrichment Program (STEP), which empowers Cleveland youth by teaching job, academic, and interpersonal skills through the creation and performance of their own plays. The theatre is also embarking on a $12 million capital project to enhance and expand its campus in the vibrant Gordon Square Arts District.
