With more than 110 company-owned branches and independent contractors and approximately 500 franchisees, Roto-Rooter is among North America's largest providers of plumbing and drain cleaning services. Founded in 1970 and publicly traded since 1971, Chemed Corporation was known as Roto-Rooter from May 2003 to May 2004, reflecting the name of its then-largest operation.
