Central Montessori Acad

Central Montessori Academy is a nonprofit corporation funded by parents in 1979, and was initially known as the Children s Way. It offers preschool and elementary school education. The school has organized its course of study as an inclined spiral plane of integrated studies, rather than a traditional model in which the curriculum is compartmentalized into separate subjects, with given topics considered only once at a given grade level. Its course of study is an integrated thematic approach that ties the separate disciplines of the curriculum together into studies of the physical universe, the world of nature and the human experience. It s academic curriculum includes reading and language arts, composition, spelling, grammar mathematics, physical, cultural and economic geography, history, science, practical life skills, early tasks, and sensory training. The school additionally offers various extracurricular activities and sports programs. Central Montessori Academy is located in Cincinnati.
