As a dermatologist, I specialize in oncodermatology, which is specialty supportive dermatological care for patients undergoing cancer treatment. This includes assessment and treatment of skin, hair and nail side effects from chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiation and stem cell transplant. I perform lesion checks and total body skin examinations for cancer patients and survivors. I also see patients with cutaneous T-cell lymphoma, a rare type of skin cancer. Additionally, I see general dermatology patients in a community practice setting. I'm passionate about caring for cancer patients because their skin conditions can seriously impact their quality of life. I like to sit and listen to patients' stories while carefully examining their skin. I use biopsies and other diagnostics tests when necessary to come up with a diagnosis, and I think about the patients' needs and preferences when developing a treatment pla orking at Ohio State feels like coming home - I'm a Columbus area native and an Ohio State alum (BS-BA 2010).
