The Middleburg Heights Fire Department is responsible for saving lives and protecting property of citizens. It deals in emergencies related to fires, explosions, accidents and toxic material hazards. The department also supports the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E) program, which focuses on the prevention of illegal usage of drugs, gang activities and violent behavior.
