The American Line Builders Chapter was established in 1956 for the purpose providing members an effective agency through which to express their collective voice on issues effecting the line construction industry. Today the Chapter represents qualified, reliable, and experienced line contractors in the District of Columbia, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Ohio, Virginia, and West Virginia. Within these areas, the Chapter maintains relationships with the following IBEW local unions: 17, 51, 70, 71, 145, 193, 196, 245, 309, 317, 369, 649, 702, 876, 934, and 1393. The Chapter currently has 40 members, who perform various types of outside electrical construction services in these areas. The Chapter provides members with services in the areas of Labor Relations, Educational Services, Safety Training, and Government Affairs.
