Aldeco Motel

The Aldeco Motel is quaintly settled in the Ohio River Valley. Getting its name after the Aluminum Development Co. began building what locals know as Ormet Corporation in 1956. The motel was built to help house those workers who were building the massive aluminum plant. We are a 13 room motel sitting along the Ohio River Scenic Byway. Visited by bicyclists, site seers and hunters as we are surrounded by Wayne National Forest which has over 200,000 acres to explore. Conveniently located 18 minutes from St. Marys WV and Route 2 ~ 34 minutes from Marietta Ohio and Interstate 77 ~ 23 minutes from New Martinsville WV Route 2 ~ Wayne National Forest Frontier Boat Launch is located just minutes from the motel. Newly constructed it offers plenty of parking for bass fishermen and boating enthusiests. Since the oil and gas boom in the area hard working men and women are looking for a clean and comfortable place to stay. The sacrifice of being away from family is hard.
