For more than 15 years, First Step Home Inc. has been an agency that provides individual and group substance abuse counseling for women and children. Based in Cincinnati, Ohio, the agency provides access to medical services, mental health assessments, life skills training, financial counseling, on-site child care, twelve step meetings and connections to job readiness programs. The programs help women become self-sufficient and gain the ability to live a drug-free life with their children. For children aged 0 to 12 who live with their mothers at the facility, the center offers a comprehensive child and family development program.
