Western Area Water Supply

The Western Area Water Supply Project (WAWSP) is dedicated to providing safe, abundant, and reliable domestic water by utilizing Missouri River water, which is treated at the Williston Regional Water Treatment Plant. This initiative also incorporates groundwater from the RT Water Supply Commerce Authority’s Water Treatment Plant in Ray to meet the diverse water needs of municipalities, rural areas, and industries across five northwestern North Dakota counties.
