Dr Samuel Lohstreter is a member of the emergency medicine team at Altru. He specializes in airway management, fracture/joint reduction and splinting, cardioversion and trauma/critical care. He is motivated by the gratification of having a direct hand in helping all patients he sees, from newborns to the elderly. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and their son along with other family and friends. He enjoys reading, running and playing guitar.

Altru Health System, located in Grand Forks, N.D., offers a wide range of medical and health care services to the community throughout the state. It provides services, such as treatment of cardiac disorders, behavioral health, community health, surgery, minimal invasive surgery, oncology, women s health, and heart care services. The heart care services include cardiac rehabilitation, cardiac risk test, cardiovascular surgery, congestive heart failure test, diagnostics, heart wellness information and interventional catheterization. The hospital offers women s health care services, including gynecological surgery, geriatric care, mammography, behavioral health, health screenings and educational programs, inpatient and outpatient health care.
