Benedictine Living Community-Garrison was built in 1969 to support the local elderly population’s desire to stay in their beloved town when they could no longer live on their own. Now 45 years later, we are proud to say that we are still serving the community and providing a place in which our family and friends from Garrison and the surrounding area are able to call home. The Meadows was made possible with donations from generous members of our community and a matching amount from Benedictine Health System. Our doors opened in 2009, furthering our commitment to our local elderly by providing assisted living options for those who aren’t able to stay in their homes, but not ready for skilled care.

Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd is an 80-bed facility. Located in New Rockford, N.D., the facility consists of more than 10 semi-private rooms, over 50 private rooms, Alzheimer s disease care unit, day care center, chapel, board room and a comfort care living. It offers services, such as therapies, dietary, pastoral, social, housekeeping, laundry and maintenance. Its senior apartments feature a kitchen, living room, bathroom, bedrooms and patio doors. The facility also has a rehabilitation center, an outpatient occupational therapy clinic. It is located in the exercise room and help individuals in the community recover from a wide variety of disabling injuries and illnesses. The Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd employs more than 150 people and offers benefits, such as group medical insurance, scheduled pay raises, vaccinations, training program, pension contribution matching, educational opportunities and retirement investment plans to employees.
