The Center for Family Medicine in Minot, affiliated with the University of North Dakota School of Medicine & Health Sciences, offers a Family Medicine Residency Program that started in 1975, making it the first of its kind in the state. Fully accredited by the ACGME, the program accepts six residents annually. Located in a state-of-the-art clinic since 2005, the center provides a comprehensive range of family medicine services to a diverse patient population, including maternity care, endoscopy, colonoscopy, and various office-based procedures. The facility utilizes an integrated electronic health record system and actively participates in the training of medical students. Situated in Minot, a vibrant community on the edge of the Bakken Oil Field, the center offers residents exposure to both urban and rural medical practices.
