Founded in 1970, Sakakawea Medical Center is a health care facility that provides a range of medical care services. The center provides radiology, surgical and volunteer services. It also offers physical and occupational therapies, as well as emergency, pain management and rehabilitative services. Sakakawea Medical Center provides skilled nursing care, disease management and health status assessment services. The center also offers medication management, wound care and diet counseling services. It employs home health aides who provide assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, grooming and meal preparation. The center provides CT scan, bone densitometry measurement, ultrasound and mammography examination services. In addition, it offers volunteer, hospice care and symptoms management services. Sakakawea Medical Center is owned and operated by the Hazen Memorial Hospital Association.

Sanford Orthopedics & Sports Medicine is a comprehensive orthopedic and sports medicine team, which includes orthopedic surgeons, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, athletic trainers and physical therapists.

Dr. Sumit Bhandari practices internal medicine as a hospitalist in Bismarck, ND. He provides primary care for hospitalized adults and coordinates care with other specialists.
