Lake Region Special Education Unit

Devils Lake High School serves students in grades nine through 12, and is governed by Devils Lake Public Schools. The high school offers various college preparatory, family and consumer sciences, vocational and special education programs, and its curriculum also includes arts, English, health education, math, music, science, and social studies. Its sport programs include cheerleading, field hockey, soccer, cross-country, basketball, wrestling, track and field, tennis, baseball and softball. The school provides a wide range of extracurricular activities, guidance and counseling services, and has a fully equipped library. It has various clubs, including the Future Business Leaders of America and Spanish club. Devils Lake High School also provides meal and transportation services, and is located in Devils Lake, N.D.

Lake Region State College, founded in 1941 and located in Devils Lake, N.D., is a two-year public college offering academic education, and vocational and technical and work force training programs. Its offers variety of study programs, such as accounting, arts, administrative and legal assistance, marketing, and information technology and farm management. It also offers degrees in various courses, such as agricultural business and management, and automotive mechanic and technician. It provides education in variety of subjects, such as criminal justice, liberal arts and sciences. The college also provides tutorial services, and various scholarship and loan programs for students. The center also provides online learning and job opportunities. It offers various athletic programs and events for men and women. The center provides variety of facilities, such as housing, library, child care center and cafeteria.

Cankdeska Cikana Community College is a tribal college that emphasizes on the teaching and learning of Dakota culture and language toward the preservation of the tribe. Formerly known as Little Hoop Community College, it offers associate degrees in automotive technology, computer applications, office technology, tribal administration, agriculture and prenursing. The college also offers associate degree of arts in accounting, business administration, early childhood education, Indian studies and liberal arts. It provides online courses in subjects, such as American government, sociology, personal and community health, developmental psychology and biology. The college offers grants and scholarships to eligible students. The college is accredited through the North Central Association of College and Schools Commission, and is a member of the American Indian Higher Education Consortium and the North Dakota Association of Tribal Colleges. Cankdeska Cikana Community College is located in Fort Totten, N.D.
