Cultural Diversity Resources
Cultural Diversity Resources (CDR), established in 1994, serves as an intercultural bridge in the Fargo-Moorhead area, connecting diverse communities and promoting self-sufficiency through various programs. Their initiatives focus on enhancing financial literacy, job readiness, and community engagement among ethnically diverse populations, while also providing bilingual interpretative services and entrepreneurship training.
Under the leadership of Executive Director Yoke-Sim Gunaratne, CDR has received recognition for its impact, including the 2023 DEI Chamber Choice Award. Gunaratne's journey from Malaysia to the U.S. has enriched her understanding of global and local issues, enabling her to empower individuals and strengthen communities through dedicated service and advocacy for equity.
