Umstead is one of my favorite things about the Triangle. I try to visit there several times a month. I mostly walk on the paved trails on the Glenwood side, but there are lots of dirt paths too....

Great trails that are clearly marked up and well-maintained. Friendly rangers and staff. Definitely a nice park for a hike or two.

A fan of William B Umstead Cary Reedy Creek entrance. I've enjoyed the 7-mile loop on the Company Mill trail on a few occasions. The park overall is peaceful and a great way to get out in nature...

An absolute gem of a park. Incredible place. Hiking, running, biking, etc. Look forward to the campground re-opening in 2025.
