West Mecklenburg High School

West Mecklenburg High School is a part of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, which operates several elementary, middle and high schools. Established in 1951, West Mecklenburg High School serves more than 2,100 students in grades 7 through 12. It offers various advanced placement and college preparatory courses. The school also offers foreign language immersion programs in Spanish, French, German, Japanese and Latin. West Mecklenburg High School s academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as math, English, science and social studies. It also provides courses in business education, marketing, and family and consumer science. The school provides sessions in bilingual education and offers the English as a Second Language program. Located in Charlotte, N.C., West Mecklenburg High School supports a variety of sports activities, such as football basketball, soccer, cross country, tennis, softball, baseball, and track and field.
