Wakefield High School

Wakefield High School, established in 1999, is a public secondary school located in Raleigh, N.C., and offers a wide range of academic programs and extracurricular activities to students from grades nine through 12. The high school offers several subjects, including English, science, math, social studies, and career and technical education. Additionally, Wakefield High School offers several fine arts courses, such as dance, theater, computer animation, sculpture and visual arts. The high school also offers students several clubs and associations, such as art honor society, debate club, executive council, video game club and National Honor Society. Its athletic program offers varsity soccer, tennis, cheerleading, diving, gymnastics, lacrosse and softball. The school offers several student services that include information regarding transcripts, peer mediation, classroom guidance sessions, college admission information, parent group meetings and military recruitment information. Wakefield High School has an annual enrollment of more that 2,300 students and is accredited by Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
