The Raleigh National Cemetery, administered by the New Bern National Cemetery, serves as a final resting place for veterans and eligible family members. While currently closed to new interments, the cemetery may occasionally have available gravesites due to cancellations or disinterments, which are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Eligibility for burial includes all members of the armed forces who have met the minimum active duty service requirement and were discharged under conditions other than dishonorable. Additionally, spouses, dependent family members, and certain unmarried adult children with disabilities may also qualify for burial, even if they predecease the veteran.
