History

The UNC Voice Center is a select group of experts dedicated to the evaluation and treatment of voice disorders for both the general public and those who use their voices professionally. Our skilled medical staff and advanced technologies provide patients with a wide range of medical, surgical, and behavioral treatments for all voices. The UNC Voice Center seeks to be the preeminent voice center in the Southeast region, providing a strong interdisciplinary team approach to the care and management of patients with voice disorders. The UNC Voice Center fills a unique regional niche by assembling 2 fellowship-trained voice surgeons, a fellowship trained head and neck surgeon, a singing voice speech language pathologist, and a speech language pathologist specializing in voice. We offer a coordinated and comprehensive medical and functional evaluation of the disordered speaking and singing voice in a single team-based approach.
