UNC Health Sciences Library

Located in Chapel Hill, N.C., Health Sciences Library manages materials for the advancement of health care options. The library provides information and knowledge and educates users to manage and creates and maintains integrated educational systems. Health Sciences Library conducts and promotes research in information and library science. It is the primary library for UNC-Chapel Hill Schools of Dentistry, UNC-Chapel Hill Schools of Medicine, UNC-Chapel Hill Schools of Nursing, UNC-Chapel Hill Schools of Pharmacy and UNC-Chapel Hill Schools of Public Health and the University of North Carolina Hospitals. The library also serves the health information needs of the entire university. Health Sciences Library serves the state s health professionals through the Area Health Education Centers Library and Information Services Network. The library s collections includes over 290,000 volumes that further include recent and historical materials, as well as more than 4,000 current serial titles and over 8,900 audiovisual and microcomputer software programs.
