While there are many pizza joints in the Charlotte and Hickory area, there are very few authentic Italian ones that are family-owned and locally focused. Tony's Pizza is just that though! Brothers Vinny, Mario and Tony, are from and grew up in Brooklyn. They’ve always been in the food business. Thanks to their Italian origins they love and know a thing or two about making pizza! They left Brooklyn in 1981 and moved to the North Carolina coast. It was then that they officially opened Tony's Pizza and Mario’s Pizza! They had a store in Jacksonville Mall and one in Havelock. At that time they focused solely on pizza. From then to now, they’ve always offered authentic Italian-style pizza. Their recipes even date back to their family over in Calabria, Italy.

Very friendly staff and good pizza. When we lived in the surrounding apartments, we often stopped by Tony's for lunch and the occasional dinner. Lunch specials are where it's at.
