My dad was a pediatrician, so I grew up around medicine. I always loved seeing him interact with his patients in the community and hearing about the impact he had on their lives. I wanted to find a way to serve my community in a similar way. \n During medical school, I discovered that obstetrics and gynecology was the perfect mixture of procedures and getting to see patients in the office. It's a field that allows me to offer a continuity of care and positively impact my patients' lives. \n My goal as a physician is to help each patient feel heard and cared for. Even though a visit to a doctor's office may not always be the most enjoyable part of someone's day, I hope that a visit with me will be both beneficial and pleasant. \n I moved to Wilmington in June 2022. My family is originally from Florida, but my parents now live in Idaho, and I love skiing and hiking that terrain when I visit them. \n In my free time, I love playing beach volleyball (I was meant to live on the coast!), spending time with my golden retriever, paddleboarding and watching college football.

Medicine combines all my passions complex problem solving, helping people and working with my hands into one field. \n My approach to working with patients is to educate and guide them to make the best healthcare decisions for themselves. I feel it's my job to give patients as much information as I can and share my own perspectives to help them choose what's right for them. Every woman is different, and I honor my patients' individuality by tailoring a plan just for them. \n I'm originally from eastern North Carolina and moved to the coast for my medical training and knew this is where I wanted to make my home. I enjoy taking care of the women in our corner of North Carolina. \n I am married and have two teenage daughters. My biggest passion in life - outside my work as an OB/GYN - is raising strong, intelligent and independent young women. In my free time, I love spending time with my family. I also enjoy boating, photography and painting.
